December 2018 Update

Happy Holidays!

As the year winds to a close, we look back on our journey over the past nine months with gratitude. Twelve months ago, we would not have imagined ourselves where we are now: with an exciting project launched, new connections forged, and endless encouragement from friendships new and old. Thank you for being a part of our story.

In our interest to explore what other home-based models of care exist, we reached out to Tricia Mullin of H.O.M.E. (Housing Opportunities and Maintenance for the Elderly) in Chicago. During our recent family gathering in Chicago, Tricia was kind enough to spend the morning with us, giving a tour of the Pat Crowley House - an intergenerational home in the city. The visit was enlightening and certainly gave us lots to consider as we further refine our intention at 34 Blue Ridge Avenue.
The first of four houses is nearly built, and the foundation for a second has been laid. The developer says that the remaining two lots are slated to begin construction in January or February.
